Our love for pâté

For a couple years now we’ve been getting our pâté from Whole Foods Market in Bellevue WA. We love this stuff, which comes from Fabrique Delices. Our favorites are the Goose Mousse and Truffle Mousse, but occasionally we try other types as well.

Before finding pâté here at Whole Foods, we had to have friends and family in Europe bring us canned pâté from France. In 2004 during our visit to France, we were treated to some really delicious pâté de foie and fois gras made locally in Pas de Calais. The farmers market, which are common in France, open only one day or two days a week, and only in the morning. Our lovely aunt, knowing that we love the stuff, bought the pâté there and treated us to the best breakfast in the old continent.

Now that we have a constant and ready supply of great quality pâté, we spread the word, and love the excitement we received when they know they can get pâté locally.
